JEREMIAH

Cultural Experience · Angoulême International Comics Festival · France

Overview

As a tribute to Hermann, winner of the Angoulême Grand Prix, Holymage brought the universe of Jeremiah into a real-world environment through large-scale video projection. An original storyline was crafted from several volumes of the series: characters were extracted from selected panels, scenes were animated, and then projected onto an abandoned industrial site in Angoulême.

Filmed during the 2017 edition of the International Comics Festival, the project creates a dialogue between comics and cinema, blending animation, video mapping and live-action footage.

For this creation, Delacroix Studio composed the original music, designed the soundscape and carried out the audio mix, shaping an immersive and cinematic sonic identity that enhances the visual narration and deepens the emotional impact of the projection.

Many thanks to Hermann and Éditions Dupuis for their kind permission.
