ELEVATION

“Élévation” is a narrative light show that stages the encounter between the Church of Saint Roch and a Bird of Light. Through this unexpected interaction, the church gradually transforms, revealing new abilities — shifting shapes, colors and emotional states. The journey culminates in the ascent of both the monument and the Bird, celebrating their shared rebirth in a poetic, luminous finale.

Created for the 2018 edition of Cœur de Ville en Lumières in Montpellier, “Élévation” features original music, sound design and audio mixing crafted by Delacroix Studio. The studio designed a sonic universe that mirrors the metamorphosis of the monument, guiding the audience through an immersive narrative experience where light, architecture and sound merge into a unified emotional arc.
